The Skeleth picks up where Book 1: The Nethergrim, left off. In this second book of the series, we see Edmund and his friends evolve and emerge more mature as they delve deeper into the surrounding world outside of their village, and continue to develop their own special skills. Merging their powers and strengths, they set out to, once again, confront and stop the evil that is threatening their world. Mr. Jobin continues the story of his fantasy world by introducing the reader to all new heroes and new, merciless evil beings.
This second book seems to pick up speed and flow a bit more easily, as the characters are fleshed out by now. Imaginative plots and exciting battles will make this book a hit with the fantasy reader, whether tween/teen or adult. I highly encourage the reader to read the first book in order to get the full back story.
